Hyer PTA


All parents are encouraged to participate in the Hyer PTA. The Hyer PTA
operates both the Cafeteria and the Supply Room in co-operation with the
HPISD. This unique involvement is evidence of the strong tradition of
parent participation at Hyer and throughout the district. Come with us and
be a partner in education!

Please plan to attend Hyer PTA meetings. During these meetings, plans are
made to direct the activities to supplement the academic schedule,
appropriate funds to enhance the school budget, and discuss ways to make the
school year the most pleasurable for the students. Our 2007-2008 schedule:

Tuesday, September 18, 2007- noon, lunch provided by Short Stop, Hyer Auditorium

Tuesday, November 20, 2007 - 9:00 a.m., 2nd grade performance, Hyer Auditorium

Tuesday, January 22, 2008 - noon, lunch provided by Short Stop, Hyer Auditorium

Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - 9:00 a.m.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 - 9:00 a.m.

Newcomers Committee

Beth Williams - Chair

The Newcomer’s Committee welcomes new families and assists in their integration into Hyer. The committee members host a Newcomer’s coffee the first week of school, greet new families as they move into the district and keeps them informed so they will become involved in the Hyer community. If you would like to be a part of our team or if you know of any new Hyer families, please contact us!
